I
immediately called Dr. Greenwood in Mathis, TX & he
told me to feed him an equal mixture of canned goats
milk, & water. I then would warm it up in the
microwave taking a small syringe & fed him with that. I held him in a towel so that he would'nt have human scent on him, or get too familiar with it. |
I woke
up every 2 hours around the clock for the next 3 weeks,
setting the alarm to go off at those entervals. My husband was really patient with me during this process. It was exhausting, but I believe I was doing the right thing. I tried to find an organization to take him, but since he was a typical cottontail, no one would help. And they are *hard* to impossible to keep alive. But I did it. |
The
pictures above were of the *release* date, approximately
2 months later, so we guessed that he was 3 months old. I
was concerned with letting him loose...a worrisome Mommy
if you will. ;) But on the other hand, I had tried to
keep my distance from him. I didn't want him to be *Human friendly* |
